THE ACADEMY OF FILM WRITING is an international online screenwriting academy founded by author and award winning screenwriter Max Adams.
AFW’s mission is to provide students, through instruction, collaboration, and ongoing support, craft tools that elevate students’ writing to a competitive professional level – and to provide students with strategies that support students’ professional writing endeavors.
Our goal at AFW is not merely to rehash old formulas found in every screenwriting book floating about since 1970.
Our goal at AFW is to provide students and workshoppers with defined usable and identifiable craft tools and business strategies that will achieve successful artistic and professional results for AFW students.
We don’t regurgitate. We create, illuminate, and initiate.
